    Other Life Jackets options

I've found that wakeboard vests work really well. They are form-fitting and generally do not have a lot of excess strap material flapping in the breeze. Very good mobility. Just make sure it's US Coast Guard approved to be compliant with the law.

Super Jet Footholds for Stock SN

Just looking for suggestions on an affordable pair of footholds for a SN without much brap. I won't be doing barrel rolls or backies, so don't need the high dollar models. Just planning on re-turfing before spring and want to go ahead and take a stab at installing some holds for added fun on the...

    Super Jet Dam Pump Install!!!

To add on to this question... I had my pump out before last season to replace the drive shaft and for the first time since I've owned the ski, it takes on water when sitting. Used to be able to keep it tied up all day and it wouldn't take on a drop. What did I damage when putting the shaft...

Other Any Go Kart racers in the forum?

Yep, raced for 7 years before moving up to dirt midgets. St. Louis Karting Association, Midwest Sprint Series, WKA Gold Cup/Man Cup, SKUSA, Robopong 200, etc. There's no better way to enter the world of motorsports than through karting. You'll learn the funtamentals of car control that will stay...

    Surfriding St. Pete Beach Riding?

Wow thanks for all the advice everyone! I guess we do have some options afterall. My only concern is that both of the skis I'll be bringing have never seen salt before (at least to my knowledge). Having to ride a ways from the launch spot to our beach seems risky lol. For clarification, can we...

    Surfriding St. Pete Beach Riding?

I just found out I'll be heading to St. Pete Beach in August for a wedding. I'll be staying at the Dolphin Beach Resort (4900 Gulf Blvd). I've been told there is a public beach right next to the resort (4700 Gulf Blvd). I'm wondering if it would be worth towing the skis down. Can anyone help...

Super Jet Won't Start When Hot

650 SJ w/ Coffman Sizzler starts on the first hit when cold, but if it dies it won't restart for anything. Cranks and cranks with no fire at all. Usually you have to let it sit for an hour or more before it will restart. Just looking for some possible reasons this is happening. Thanks in...

    Super Jet Midshaft Leak Test?

Damn, I was hoping someone wouldn't say that. :) Think I maybe had something in the splines that was causing it to get hung up?

    Super Jet Midshaft Leak Test?

I replaced my driveshaft before last season and the ski has been taking on water at a pretty rapid pace ever since. Used to be able to let it sit in the water all day and it was fine. When I put the driveshaft in, I had to pound on it pretty good to get it to go in (insert 'that's what she...

    Strange Electrical Problem

Could that also be the reason it wouldn't start back up once it was running for a half hour or so? Starter didn't have the juice to throw the flywheel into the bendix hard enough?

    Strange Electrical Problem

The switch and wires all looked good. I was wondering about the ebox though. If it does have water in it, will it need to be replaced?

    Strange Electrical Problem

My buddies ski (650 sj) died on us the other day out in the water after he dumped it and got quite a bit of water in it. We tried forever to get it restarted. When I let my finger off the start button it kept on cranking away. To the point where it ran the battery completely dead. I...

    Something's off...

Haven't thought about exhaust leak either. Is there any quick tricks to checking the reeds without pulling the mani? If I do have to, what do bad reeds look like? Thanks for all the help! Heading to the lake this weekend and want to figure this thing out!

    Something's off...

I know it's the strangest thing. I thought about the reeds too. Haven't checked them yet. It's only hard to start after it's been running for awhile...so when everything's hot. Starts right up when cold. I'll look into a stock coil.
