A nice swap would be for you to fix a good 61x motor and swap over what you can from your 650 including the head. You can find good stock 61x for $500 and then either keep your motor as a back up or sell it. But id rock your set up for now and save up for a motor and hopefully someone on here...
well just to help the guy out he never did say flat water flip it. Could be saying in surf conditions of big enough wakes. A well known rider on here and fellow crew member @BruceSki flips n rolls his heavy ass SN with ease and hes known for flipping and rolling even in ankle biter waves.

i ran a raider waterbox on the left side then looped over to a 701 industries rear exhaust on the right. Loved the set up. super easy and quiet. plus freed up alot of room and weight in the nose
im saying possibly the coupler cover too. in surf your gunna get alot more water in the ski than in the river. when you were riding the river were u just cruising around or were you pulling tricks?
id make them as long as u can as long as they are supported. I have always made mine the longest possible to give me most options for skis i can load
Just make sure you have enough hanging off the back side for the ski to clear the trailer when off loading

put a little 4200 silicone on the bottom flange of the pisser, put it through the hull (have someone hold in place and @ what angle you want ) slide the coolant hose on really tight to the side of the ski and clamp it down with a hose clamp. then ziptie the coolat lines together let it set...
