More then likely the pump wasn't shimmed correctly which will produce an angle in the driveline (driveshaft will not be perfectly straight) which will cause the bearings and seals to bite the dust and have much shorter life span. I recommend using a micrometer when shimming the pump to make sure...
You can use a pole spring as long as it isn't a double bolt setup, which is usually an option when you order it.....xmetal has a nice one and you can use your stock pole bolt and spring with it...I told you all this the other day you moroff.....

i just put a small cut at an angle where the air box bumps out in the middle...do it in stages so you don't over do it. cut a little, then do a fitment check, cut it again, check again, and so on until it fits you can see where i made the cut in this picture...good luck

I was thinking about glueing some pink foam together and shaping it to fit up there...any idea what kind of glue I could use ?
