This does work very well. I've seen him load and unload a few times at my house. Good job on a cool cart. The cart is just the right height for a work stand and very sturdy. I would suggest trying to get a winch onto the handle part so you can more easily load the ski when it's sitting in...

I would steer away from using footstraps. Your more limited in your foot position in them. A set of foot holds in the rear and a Pancake Pete style front foot hold is the way to go for riding in the surf. Installing footwells isn't very difficult. Get with some of the folks down your way and...
