I would hit up a junkyard for a complete 5.3L or 6.0/6.2L out of the newer silverados/sierras. You can get entire long blocks intake mani to oil pan with harness & computer for around $1k, it's insane. Once you go FI and realize how easy it is and how nice it makes a hot rod you won't look back...

The 1200 would definitely attract more attention, but the 900 I think is a more attainable thing for most of us peons, and I'd rather ride something that's within my reach than something that will just make me hate what I have LOL.
