Thought I'd share in case anyone else has the same problem. I have a nice little Kobalt tool set from Lowe's that I keep in the truck (my real tools are at work, but I usually wrench on the ski at home/lake). I didn't want the blow molded case kind, too heavy and not as easy to stow in the...
I would hit up a junkyard for a complete 5.3L or 6.0/6.2L out of the newer silverados/sierras. You can get entire long blocks intake mani to oil pan with harness & computer for around $1k, it's insane. Once you go FI and realize how easy it is and how nice it makes a hot rod you won't look back...
I've tried searching and I can't find it, but I could have swore at one time I saw a company making a new ebox for superjets, I think it was clear and supposedly the be-all end-all for leaky ones? Can anyone help me out here, maybe I am just crazy. :bananajump:
How about just some kind of cart with big wheels that you can break down to fit in the SUV. Drag ski from SUV onto wheeled cart, wheel cart into water, dump ski. Reverse when loading up.
I like OCDSolutions solution though, if you can get your SUV close enough to the water to slide it off a...
So what, go by yourself! I go alone to events all the time (LEFR, wave daze, etc)...I'm going to Daytona alone too. I'm sure I'll run into some people I know, and of course meet new friends too - that's what's so great about this community.
I'm in NC so just about year-round riding here...currently my ebox is apart awaiting a new MSD enhancer as mine seems to be done. I'll keep it running through January (friend is having a polar bear party and then Daytona of course!!). Then I'd like to tear down and repaint in Feb/Mar, and fix a...
If you're fairly new I would do a used superjet. They're just too expensive new IMO, def not worth it. I get that you want reliability but as long as you buy a clean, stock one in good shape, you'll spend a lot more time riding than wrenching. The SJ is great to learn on and will teach you a...
The 1200 would definitely attract more attention, but the 900 I think is a more attainable thing for most of us peons, and I'd rather ride something that's within my reach than something that will just make me hate what I have LOL.
Can't wait to see the WNY crew/crazy canadians on the opposite end of the country!
This will be my first trip to Daytona. Does everyone load up skis at night or leave them on the beach like we did at WD? I'll take any other first timer advice anyone wants to add.
The paint on that is so sick. I swear I want a BC just so I can get an insane paint job with it. I'm assuming there are no women's classes for freestyle, you'll be like the US version of UK's Emily Tucker! Do any other girls out there compete in FS already?
