Rode the flat water today again. No waves and no riders. Only 2 other riders showed up at the spot, late in the day. Seem like good people. 2 brothers with "new-to-them" Kawi 650's. MX guys converting to water. Maybe get some waves next week. Tomorrow's booked.

Took it for a burn after work today, and I must say that.....I think that, with a lot of help, I may have created the perfect surf ski! (less some nose rocker) I'm not thru the break in yet. I intend to fine-tune after. But it hits great and handles great. Almost too good. Can't break it loose...

lol!! If I were completely anal...or a victim of OCD....I might do that. (not really jabbing anyone)... I'm riding it. The little poop can get fixed along the way.

I only had to cut one of them shorter. I thought about cutting it off completely, but it's the one over the carbs...and that seemed to defeat the whole purpose of the tube. It will now dump directly on the battery. Not sure how I feel about that, but.....we'll see. The other fits neatly between...

I removed the stubby pump cone and installed the OEM one this morning. Also installed the flame arrestor and ran into a problem. The interior hood drain hoses are in direct conflict with the flame arrestor. Had to cut one shorter and re-direct it. It will work, but the two hoses have to go...

Had to make it legal today. It broke my heart to put decals on it, but the reg numbers are just one less excuse for the man to mess with you. Legal size, legal spacing....just don't check me for an extinguisher. lol.

YeeHaa! Rode it today. Some minor tweeking here and there, a little cavitation...but all in all it went great. Tanner & Stan & Milo were there as well as SC Nick and Gearhead Eric. I'm WAY happy with the maiden voyage. I expected to be wrenching a lot. Going again tomorrow.

It looks nice. But until a few people ride it, and report, it's all just talk. I think demo's are a must. Check the events calendar and make it happen. Always glad to see things advance.

Gotta help Jay with some motor mounts. Might do it on the beach, not sure what time we'll get there if we do it in the driveway.

I've decided to turf the old stock-cut-up chinpad. Tomorrow. Just cause I wanna get the pics out of the way and wreck the thing. (not really) . Might get a better chinpad later, but I'm not gonna let it hold up the works at this point. Water Temp is over 60. Another few degrees and a wet suit...
