Has anyone else experienced their engine firing in reverse with and epic?
It seems to happen to me a few times when the engine winds down to lower rpm every now and then it will reverse the engine. It would seem like too much timing but the engine is at the rpm where the timing is down around...
you could use a duratec primer in the mold and wet sand to get a better finish if the problem is in the molds
another thing to help with the air bubbles behind the gelcoat in the tight corners is thicken up some resin and spread in the tight radius corners and edges before you put your first...
Press the ring off and take a punch and dimple it all the way around where the ring gear sits. Heat the ring up and put green loctight on the flywheel and put the ring back on. It work for one I did. Also could try drilling and tapping the alumnium and counter sink it so part of the countersink...
I've been running my xs1000 for 3 weeks with an msd enhansor with no problems
this week I had swapped out the enhansor with an epic and also added a waterbox
When I first fired it up I noticed that it idles really rough. When I grab the throttle it revs fine. When it idles down I noticed it...
I'm looking for ways to quiet my ski down the current setup is in a q8 and with using a Yamaha motor the nattery box behind the motor doesn't fit when using a powerfactor pipe. I have room for a resonator to go in line behind the carbs but do they even work or is it a waste of time
Im going to give the epic a try. When I put my curve in for it should I offset the timing 4 degrees due too the piston location compared to a stock stroke?
today I checked a std stroke engine at 30 degrees btdc the piston was .215 down on the indicator
on my 12mm stroker 30 degrees was .275 down on the indicator.
its around 4 degrees btdc lower than a standard crank so on this engine if i ran the stator lined up with the mark It had 4 degrees of...
Never had much reliability out of the totaloss systems in the past. Mabe it was me. I have an epic but I don't want to chance a backfire and possibly bending rods. So am trying to get the most with an enhansor and Tbm flywheel. I'm happy with it how it is but I know theirs more to gain and was...
So If I take an indicator find tdc and mark the case then line a degree wheel up and want to verify timing with a light mark the flywheel or coupler depending where I mark the cases for 22 degrees which is where it should be at 2000 rpm with and enhansor. Start it up take it up to 2000rpm check...
If your using stock electronics stator and flywheel. If you increase your stroke is the timing still the same if you keep the marks lined up on the cases with the stator or will the timing be off due to stroke
the riva is a straight thru bore the fullspec has a venturi this helps increase the fuel signal. better fuel signal = better throttle response.also Ed's booster design atomizes the fuel better
I'm running a 12mm stroke 90mm bore with an msd enhansor, powerfactor carbon pipe and a skat mag 144.theirs no doubt that totaloss would bring more out in that motor. But it's on the edge of being rideable as it is
