Thanks for sharing! I was planning to redo the swingarm/linkage bearing on my dirt bike. Perfect timing. I've never heard of these guys but their products look legit.
I did that to one of the straps; however, do to the thickness of the straps when you tie a knot in them they get drastically shorter (not like OEM). Plus when you spend $140 on straps you don't really want to tie knots in them.
I'll try and snap some pictures tonight of them permanently stretched.
PRODUCT REVIEW
PRODCUT : 701 Straps
BRAND : 701 Industries
REVIEW : I purchased these straps April 15th, 2015. I absolutely loved the straps. They looked awesome and were the perfect lengths for my gas tank limited slip gas tank. However, after one year they are now all stretched and no...
I have two buddies that have ran the stock SX-R exhaust on their 800 transplants, both have worked really well. If memory serves me correctly they melted the tank ever so slightly for clearance.
I made my own brackets for my V2 to mount the box above the foothold. I don't think mine looks cobbled or ghetto at all. I can even take it out with the b-pipe in place. I don't have an engine pic but should be able to snap one in a few days.
I used the RRP billet bolt on my Aura pole and bracket. It was a little tough to thread in initially, so I checked the threads by just threading it in from the outside and it went right in. I found out that there is just a slight amount of play between the bracket pieces so I loosened them all...
Ahh yes I could see that being helpful!!
In my Aquabot I ran 13" straps for the back of the tank, an 11" strap for the front left (near the gas cap), and a 7" strap from the battery tray down to the hull. The 7" strap need a slight pinch of the metal hoop to fit the tank slot.
I recently ordered a trim lever and throttle lever from them. I just e-mailed them directly at: freerideinnovationsuk@gmail.com They got back to me right away and shipping was pretty fast: 7-10 days. They were super easy to deal with. I haven't finished building my Aquabot so I can't give you...
Here is what I did for my build: http://x-h2o.com/index.php?threads/gen-1-5-build.154350/
If you plan to freeride your ski at all I wouldn't go with what I did. I only race my X-2 so it really hasn't been a big deal and there is minimal water intrusion.
