order up some pro-x pistons on ebay and go to your local machine shop. If looking to save money go with wsm platinum. Also replace the wrist pin bearings with kawasaki ones while you are at it.
Not sure if you could tell the difference between good and bad spark? But normally when the electronics are on there way out they start having issues once warmed up. To save money you could swap just the lightening coil with another oem coil.
