    760 OEM flywheel charging issues

Yeh this one really got me. I’ve ran probably 20+ Kawasaki oem flywheels with all sorts of mods throughout Kawasaki years and never had a failure or even heard of one. These flywheels are almost identical. 750 to 760 My flywheel will now be a Total Loss. I surely won’t be taking out magnets...

    760 OEM flywheel charging issues

Another story for others to have data for Changed motors in my square nose. Went from a stock 3 lobe 760 OEM flywheel / zeel setup that was working fine. (Fully charging battery and nice running setup) Put in my Lamey motor with a 760 OEM flywheel that was lightened and purchased from a...

    SJ dies under acceleration

Hi. yes 50mm carbs 80 return gives around 5psi at wot. want to test a 75 and 85 when it comes In. The fuel system is single pickup, All enlarged pickups, 1/4” lines to GPR petcock to GPR filter to Mikuni remote pump then individual 1/4” lines to carbs. I did single line because I like...

    SJ dies under acceleration

Interesting. Well maybe something to do with a remote pump and where it’s mounted? Down a little lower than carbs. But I have the same on my blaster and many many other skis over the years. Some guys mounted them between motor mounts. I run 3 remote pumps on the side of my GPR and the...

    SJ dies under acceleration

Yes it helps along with Destroyers, bottom work and pump cavity work and proper prop size. Skat pumps move prop back 30mm. I used 08 driveshaft and made a 50mm wear ring to add. So I moved the whole setup back 50mm. Position related to hull is same as 08’+ sj

Want to share an interesting experience. 1990 square nose I redid this year with all the normal race stuff from the era. Couple of motors. Mild superstock motor and a Lamey/RD cylinder, 8mm rad crank short rod, novi’s, setback pump, dry pipes, wet pipes, etc. During the process of breaking...

Carburetor (specs) Database: SuperJet and Blaster 1

Get rid of that water box or sleeve the stinger down. Your rpm is horrible for anything other than a stock 61x or the ski is way over propped #1 with the right setup you can spin 7600+ and go way over 60 with a stock water box under 800cc #2 #1killer of top end performance is over prop or lack...

    Riva 7 ports cylinder Superjet

Ok. Maybe a better way (layman’s) to say what I think the data suggest is. For a given displacement (cc) (class rules) a square bore produces best results. The point would end when piston speeds get to high for the length of stroke for a large displacement. The port windows can flow...

    Riva 7 ports cylinder Superjet

I know near the end of MotoGP two stroke era all the 125/250 and 500 motors were square. Most 125’s are 54/54 today. I read the SAE paper Honda did after the end of the era and the data suggest most metrics (BMEP) the square bore produced the best results. I think every mfg that competed...

    Riva 7 ports cylinder Superjet

For us old guys - 1992-1997 mod class was 785cc max when 8mm Lamey was popular for SJ it was 76mm stroke and Kawasaki 80mm pistons modified by RD for first bore. (I looked at some old notes)

    Riva 7 ports cylinder Superjet

Wasn’t the mod rule 785cc? 81x76. 783cc was max. Then superstock went 800. It’s been 24 years since Mod Class so maybe my memory has made an error?
