You can JB weld it to the midshaft. Granted you just ruined a midshaft but good chance it's splines were already worn out too.

There's a few of us that drive out on Carolina Beach pretty regular. Hit me up if you ever feel like heading down that far. Also there's the freeride in a couple months. That's some of the first weekends of not needing a wetsuit. Come out there and you'll find some more people around this area.
