I chased lots of boats and yachts on my dvx. It's a blast. Been in the surf a few times too but I wouldn't recommend it. Hitting bottom would be dangerous. They have done a few baby screams with a 770 I think and a 140 mag

Did XScream tell you they can't do a dvx setup for a 148 pump?
Call the shop and talk to them. They by far had the best and most realistic timeline and delivery. They are more expensive than some of the others but I think they have the best customer support and service.

Try removing the hood hooks and rachet strap it down and try the dollar bill test again. Even if you don't have the rachet strap setup on the ski just go around the hull and hood with one. That should tell you if your hooks are in the wrong spot and keeping it from setting low enough to press...
My ski use to stay pretty dry but now my pole tubes are busted open. Gets quite a bit of water in now. How far up the pole are your tubes? Maybe a watcon hood seal? I can't remember what yours looks like

Been out since 3am working. An 85ft and a 75ft pole broke from storms and highs winds. Wire was laying across interstate 20.
