If you have a 90's vs of the mad enhancer I believe them to be much better quality internally then the new post bankruptcy msd.
I have no facts to back that up.
Just 30yrs exp with how many failed in 90's vs how many I have gone bad in last 3 yrs
In 2015 I had DASA 1k drop a cyl from...
Had a customer come in and say you can't port a DASA there already maxed out.
So showed him the pile of shavings and said, 5hrs of grinding says considerably different.
The picture is not deceiving. It actually makes the pile look half it's true size.
That's the same port spec Brandon Lawlor...
The Vilder, spell check??
Was a cdi box marvel back then. I installed over 100 and not one was ever an issue and two curves 100% programmable.
Never used msd till the new free ride big motor stock ignition
My pressure chamber is two domes in a 1/2 Lexan tube.
O ring the outer of a dome and slide each dome in from opposite sides and there capped with all threadgoing full length so domes can't slide out of tube.
A friend did the plexi plate and his system cost 10 bucks.
The 1/2 lexan tube was...
Yea the 61x box not good at all.
OCD, you have 70% of the puzzle.
Now you need to build a pressure chamber.
You will be shocked at how you will start hearing spark misfires above 5,000 once you pressurize the chamber with a spark plug in it.
You will instantly find out how important spark...
I don't know what msd claims.
But I can tell you I have spun over 20 of them on ignition test motor and none of them have had the same curve.
Most inconsistent electronics I have ever seen.
What is claimed it's quite possible.
But reality of what I tested two years shows less advance then...
Msd has a very poor timing curve.
Just an FYI.
The stock timing curve has more retarded built in so you can safely advance the timing more then with an msd.
But you need to know
6m6, 61x or 62t box.
No website builder had a little set back and is a few weeks behind.
My dyno is something I spent a lot of time designing and building and I will never post pics of it for others to copy what I have done.
I am the only one in the industry that uses an anertia dyno.
I'm pretty open about most...
