Like everyone says get a 701 superjet ride it for a bit, make a few upgrades. Then when ready your only a hull away from what you want. Don't take a loan or anything. Just spend a little every month. Am hulls are getting cheaper as more are made and supply outgrows the demand. You can already...
The first one seems like it has a lot of upgrades, group k motor and other nice mods.
The second one doesn't have much.
Usually you can find 650 sx's in the 700-1000 range. The first one may be worth a little more with the extras.
Do a compression test make sure both cylinders are even...
If you blew the motor you already need to bore it. Higher compression may mean that you will need to run a higher octane gas, more expensive and harder to find. An ADA head with 35cc domes you can run regular gas. Might as well port it too like wanderer said. Jet maniac has nice package deals...
Rode couches for years in the surf, until I saw a free ride in pismo. I never knew what they could do on stand ups. Sold everything else and never rode a couch since.
If you can even get in. I watched Huck fest last year, and it was pritty lame. I spent more time watching the ladies. Should call the freeride "huckfest". Much more hucking going on! Third weekend of November 14-16 sounds good.
It is easy to tell by looks too. If you got a pic of the intake area I'm sure we could figure it out, but I wouldn't let that stop you from buying. A single 44 is just about the same as dual 38's IMO.
It may have an aftermarket manifold. It is not odd. Some people like the single carb instead of duals. It is easier and simpler to set up. Which is it a 61 or 62 case?
Yes they make an adaptor plate for this to run dual carbs. But, why wouldn't you just run the single 44. It is best to get a 62t case if you want duals.
