just about any option is going to need some carb jetting/tweaking. The 62t cyl uses larger exhaust manifold bolts. If you use the 61x manifold, you can drill the manifold bolt holes out for the larger bolts on 62t. Or, you can use stainless Timecerts. Do a search for '62t manifold bolts'...

I would suggest to leave the side gunwale shape alone. Its a pointless mod and it makes it harder to pull yourself back up on the ski.

do a search for 61x vs 62t. Lots of threads to read through.... Find a cheap Yamaha couch with a 700 (701) or a 760 motor to transplant into your ski.

I would think that you would still want to cut the old 90deg part of the OEM bondrail off, even if you are using alum...

Ski turned out great and I love the hood liner. Add Tubbies and shorten it 2 or 3 inches next winter & you will love it even more. You can sell the alum SN pole, get a lightweight stock RN pole, & have $$ left over. But a RN hull won't make you ride any better. :biggrin: Nicejob & enjoy it!

-5 on the rear is huge! I'm at about -3.5 (cut straight) and still use a stock length D cut plate. It still rides nice and loose, but still turns great. When i ran it with the flush -3.5 plate it was harder to plane out and ride at higher speeds. Would be much easier to BF, but thats IT...

Its in my fixed steer ski, which requires a much shorter cable anyway. Maybe that's why it works. ok I'll shut up now. :)
