The pump may be easier to just measure and draft vs scan and clean up the point cloud. I haven't used the modern scanning tools that you have available - what are you seeing for accuracy and resolution? Awesome work btw!

Yea I'm kinda excited to try water injection once I find a good used setup - most of the ones I've found are pretty knackered. Glad I went with this pipe because the hit of power up in the mid is exhilarating. I'll probably look into that Zeel setup this winter as well when I have some downtime.

Got about 1.5 tanks through it now. Might play around with the pop-off pressure (go down from 115g to 95g spring) but I'm going to wait until I'm though this tank of 32:1 and go to the regular mixture. Pull from 1/4 to 1/2+ throttle is very strong. Pull from 1/8th-ish to 1/4 throttle...

Hard work pays off! In trying to burn through the first tank for break it's pretty obvious this thing is awesome already! Love the sound of the dry pipe haha. Did a few 15 minute laps under 1/2 throttle and would pull up to a shoreline and check stuff... never found anything wrong. Sofar...

Yea this was more just to get some pre-mix through the engine and into the bottom end, adjust idle speed and make sure nothing is leaking in the engine bay. I'll be going down to the lake this weekend and I'll keep an eye on midshaft temps then - or is it something not to really worry about?

Awesome. I'm a nervous wreck anytime I fire a new build up haha. Until the first crash/scratch that is - then it's WFO.

It's Alive! Without much fanfare it fired right up - no crazy runaway revs or anything. I primed the fuel lines by turning it over a few times and watching the fuel circulate until it went back through the return line into the tank. That said - I do hear a 'weird' vibration noise. The first...

Fuel is getting sucked into carbs, primer is working, sparks look sizzly - all systems are ready to go!... But its a little too late here to run it. I'll be able to give er the first bump tomorrow!

Mounting that pipe in the hull was every bit as hard as people say it is. There were no hand outs during today's bit of work on the ski. I ended up applying a ring of red rtv silicone on the engine coupler side to hopefully fill any small gaps. Didn't go crazy. The stinger side also threw me...

Good progress overall this weekend - engine is in, shimz are stacked, pipe is fitted. Now just need to give everything the final bolt up and torque down. Started the day out remaking a gasket I fubar'd After I got it cut out I put a little blue gasket compound on it and the other gasket to...

    DISCONTINUING THE SUPERJET????

I wonder if transfer port injection (TPI) is a possible add on for 2 stroke engines like the 701? TPI is how KTM and Husqvarna are getting their 2 stroke dirt bikes homologated into the USA right now. Their using fuel injectors to shoot straight gas into the transfer port paths then using an oil...

Other What did you fab up today? A thread for the home fabricators!

Very nice! What unit are you coming off of or is that your first AC/DC Tig setup? I'm looking to upgrade my 15yr old Asian inverter unit. It was on the bleeding edge of cheap imported all-in-one units and right now all that it can still do is basic AC tig, DC tig and Stick (Used to be able to...

When you're over budget you gotta get creative! Home fab'd ETX12 AGM batter holder. It ain't all that purdy but it should hold. I'm thinking maybe 2x notches at the bottom on each side that flair out to hold the OEM rubber straps now - sorta like the blowsion battery box. The benefit...

Momentum.... Well today was good. Got probably one of if not the most daunting tasks done... The pump. First off - I just gotta say this video was awesome. It's very similar to the method recommended by Watcon but the millennial in me loved the fact that it was a video. Things started out...

Some progress! I've switched my pipe I'm gonna use from the Riva Red to the Riva Freeride (similar to Type 4, Dry style). Began refurbing it and getting it ready for a new life on this ski. First I had to do a little welding to patch up a pin-hole leak near the stinger. The outer jacket was...

I actually have both a red Flow control valve from jetworks (the spring and ball type) and a needle valve I was going to use. I Was thinking first just start with the needle valve to fine tune the flow into the stinger (with the jet removed) and the needle valve provides an easy to control...
