That shouldn't be a problem, I've had 10-15 psi in them before without any issues. The aluminum sheet can start to bow out a bit on the larger flat areas but the welds hold up just fine. If anything, you just slightly increased the fuel capacity. 6.601 gallons!

Still have the last 7.5 gallon tank for sale, $450 + shipping, your choice of cap colors. It's already welded up, just have to assemble it to your specs.

5 psi is plenty to spot any leaks with soapy water

Yea that stuff should be fine to use. I use Loctite 565 sealant on all of my fittings.

If it has similar dimensions to the Superjet bottom deck then it should. It would only fit with a Bpipe though, definitly not fitting a lay down pipe in there with it.

Final design is 7.5 gallons. Battery tray is sized for the ETX9 or 12. It would likely be internal fill only I think.

This tank wouldn't interfere with the waterbox. I'm not sure if it would fit in a B1 or not. Here is a pic of the design so far, it's at 7.4 gallons right now:

Sold out of 4.7 gallon tanks at the moment. I'll be starting another batch soon and have had a request for a 5.3 gallon tank (no battery tray). I usually just make those to order; would anyone else be interested in one before I place the lasercut order?

Yes, they are $20 for a pair with a tank purchase (or previous purchase) or $40 sold separately.

I use the 2.75" cap on both sizes of tanks now. The same insert locations would be used. Some of the strap lengths on the smaller tank will be shorter, or you can just use two regular fuel tank straps up and over it.

The powdercoating shop I've been using just told me today that they are too busy with internal products and will no longer be offering powdercoating services. I'm going to check around at a few other shops so the PC price and color options may change...

I'm finally caught up on orders and have a few extra tanks welded up and ready to assemble. I've got both 4.7g and 3.3g tanks in stock now, as well as the 6.6g and 7.1g tanks for SXRs.
