Those savers look like they'll help with pancakes but offer little to no protection against lawn darts. It looks like you could pair those with a set of kenny keepers though and be covered.
Still working to narrow down a pesky vibration that shows up on deceleration. Changed out a driveline damper, re-torqued engine hardware and dialing in pop-off along with some other little maintenance items.
Ski went together pretty quick, I didn't bother with a bunch of pics as I was under a time crunch to get it fired and loaded up to drive 6 hours to ride surf. Our riding group puts on freeride demos for a coastal vacation community so it was a mad dash to get everything buttoned up before it was...
Pics have been uploading sideways, any way to fix this? When the site used to do this I remedied by opening picture file, rotating 90 degrees and re saving prior to upload but that no longer helps-pics still upload sideways. What am I doing wrong?
I usually tap around the flywheel with a hammer hoping it helps loosen the grip on the taper. I've also used a little heat on the hub (careful not to heat up the crank snout and possibly damage crank seal).
Disconnect at the plugs coming from the ebox. Tie string or paracord to the wires in the engine bay and pull the wires out through the top of the pole (by steering). Now you can reverse the process tying the string at the top of the pole to the new harness and using it to pull the wiring down...
I can't figure out why the pictures keep posting sideways, I've rotated and saved and it seems to be something with the upload. Drilled a pulse fitting and assembled the engine last night. Leakdown tested today and it passed. Hope to have it installed and fired tonight so I can water test...
Pump and mid aligned and installed. Carbs cleaned and freshened up. Waiting on engine parts to try and marathon build this before heading to the coast for the weekend. I have been experimenting going back and forth between couch mounts and rhaas mounts which has resulted in a couple failed couch...
This would probably help but by shimming the rear of the pump you're going to need to re-align your driveline or you'll suffer from poor spline wear. Shim the rideplate and report back.
Add a couple washers under the rear rideplate bolts and see if it helps. Might buy you some time so it's at least rideable until offseason comes around and you (or the owner) can address the soggy tray.
