I have an atp 48 carb on a Dasa single manifold. 175m 135p- 140p I think 115g 2.5ns The carb likes a lot of fuel your setup sounds in the ballpark I wouldn’t run smaller jets until you try it.
Interesting reading about this topic i haven’t been on the X in a while but I can’t help with my opinion. I really like the benefits of a light flywheel running the 760 zeel lightened with no magnets TL . Bang for the Buck its noticeable revs up quicker buoy to buoy I like it better but it may...
I would definitely use loctite on those threads. The crank is probably ok i bet I have broken reeds before and ran it without doing a bottom end. But it’s up to you If everything spins quietly new pistons and back on the water.
Yes in 2016 it was the first of many motors I ran in that ski and it was awesome had a lot more low end midrange power than a triple was super fun and easy to ride too.
Thanks but that won’t work. I need 2 oem plates to cut both in half and weld back together as my ski intake in about 1 1/2“ longer than a stock sxr grate. Kinda a custom 1 off deal. Going to call Prowatercraft see if they can help Monday. But I think they redesigned their intake and don’t make...
I’m looking for 2 oem Kawi SXR intake grates. I need 2 to cut and weld back together for my proforce ski as another stock replacement is well just unobtainable . Any one have one laying around from a takeoff let me know Thanks
I agree. I also use silicone instead of antisieze/grease or loctite when assembling my ski especially in the surf. It helps with water intrusion into the threads ,makes removal at a later date possible you can wire wheel the bolts like new again run a tap in the threads if necessary. Loctite...
Not sure if Tom21 still sells these tubbies any more they are 8 years old now. I cut 3/4”off the top ,reshape and put a layer of glass over the foam and glued them on. Only freak I’ve seen with tubbies but there’s isn’t to many on the west coast lol. I have been very happy with them high speed...
i used short 10mm stainless timecerts on my SF badass motor mounts the threads in the aluminum blocks just rotted away. A 90degree drill to get at the back mounts and it worked ok but had to be careful to drill barely deep enough on the freak as the bolts need to have a couple threads cut off if...
Smokey carb carbs = reeds probably. I don’t seem to get a lot of hours out of either Vforce reeds then they break but at least is doesn’t destroy the motor. The best longevity in my experience is stock reeds with the standard boyessen fiberglass replacement but who wants standard stuff lol.
There is an o ring between the collar and the coupler #25. I would put a new collar and grease up your oem seals good too. I tried attaching a picture of the crank parts assembly but the internet is no good were I’m at.
I had a battery die on me when I put a charger on it here in Arizona but it was Extremely Hot like 120+ in my shed at the time. After that I read that any battery especially lithium are damaged easily when charging even below 32 freezing will degrade it quickly as well as heat. It’s in the...
In my SF Badass which is a very light ski used in the surf I have a 148 maxx setback pump with a 7/14 skat 5mm cutback impeller and it hits really hard off idle and pulls all I need. All with a mildly ported 701. I believe the biggest bang for your Buck is go low on the pitch the acceleration...
The nlp 9 battery in working fine I try and keep it out of the heat. I don’t charge it when it’s really hot I bring it inside air conditioning to charge it and no problems. I haven’t let it get wet either (no sinking) lol
Yep that’s how I do it except I put it on dry except for loctite on the threads install the cold fusion tool so it won’t spin the motor over and torque it to 80lbs cuz I don’t want it to come loose. The cold fusion tool is wonderful no need for rope in the spark plug hole or using an impact...
The bendix has moving parts that wear out , just find a minty used oem and replace it or you can try to rebuild it. New oem is the way to go but expensive
