You can lean the ski hard left so the carbs are on the bottom and crank it throttle wide open gas should run out. Be very careful if the plugs are out as spark causes a fire I found this out the hard way after sinking my ski cranking it upside down with the plugs out. That was not and good day.
Replace the needle and seat. check your tank pressure relief valve when it hot out fuel expands. I don’t even run a valve just a long hose coiled up or up and down the handle pole. I had 2 cold fusion tanks split due the heat.
I
Will do. I like mine around 45/1000s -50/1000s or .045 -.050 the motor is ran at high rpm extended runs for buoys etc 12thousands sounds awfully tight to me. That’s inches right? For my use I usually use a slightly thicker base gasket.025+ to get a little more squish. I learned this after a...
I would think that may damage the piston edge. Detonation would occur even more easily that’s why I have heard 84mm pistons requires the 86mm 760 domes ? That’s what I ran on an 84mm cylinder I had that the nikasil coating failed on. (but that’s another topic). Lol I intended to run 760 domes...
Well I guess nobody wants to admit running the wrong size domes so I will just run the correct 83mm ones from Tomski. I’m sure it will run better anyways
Wondering if I could use 33cc 760 domes in a 61x 701 motor I was assembling. It has 81.5mm pistons so is that extra little gap around the squish going to be a no no.
My Tem built 14 badass hull has zero cracks except for the hood although I just surf ride. But a gorilla smasher that hucks his boat mercilessly off every wave could break anything Mark Just sayin especially with a light layup. Freaks don’t land well anyways and my old bones would snap long...
Another option could be adding a thicker base gasket I use a .025 to add squish and also lowers compression too. WOT extended runs causing detonation have been a problem for me. It seems like my stuff runs a tad better with adding a gallon of race gas to the mix versus 50/50 av gas .
Thought I would just put the scammers PayPal out there just a chance it’s his name. njuguna_peter@aol.com Peter Njuguna seems like he did his homework he might be here in the states .His post seemed legit I fell for it oh wel. I’m no cyber sleuth but maybe someone might know something? Bummer
A super jet i once had wouldn’t start on me after just arriving at Pismo for a 3 day weekend so I took the Ebox apart and found it was an orange glob of crud inside and I had no idea how it ran before. The ski never saw fresh water and had been sunk. The battery cable had rusted off the starter...
Or? Put new crank seals seal the cases back together clean everything real good ,replace the bendix and run it. Just a thought lol maybe look inside the e box check mid shaft too while it’s apart and get a summer or 2 out of it.
I always deleted mine but AM carbs don’t have them anyways. I will take a primer in the surf . As for riding buoys simply putting a baggie over the flame arrestor works great to get that first ride going no worries about air leaks. After reading this I will be replacing that cheap little stone...
I’m following your work as my hood is cracked also but hope mine doesn’t get much worse. It is really thin huh Tem really built it a little too light lol.
I drilled (2) 2” holes in the front of my liner and used something called a Frogskin it has 3M glue around the edges ,it lets air in but...
I agree with this. My carbon sf has many hours on it in salt water and i have very little corrosion . It was built with an oem midshshft new seals ,aligned and greased siliconed in etc and I had no issues.
I had one. Wish I still did it was a Good motor had lots of power pulled a tall prop well I had no issues with it. Sold it to a member on here for to cheap but oh well. It was a 5mil stoker lightweight crank 1 of a kind 85bore 828cc I think. Really ran good too cases were slightly trenched and...
