I still think it's the compression. Try this: small amount of 2 stroke oil down the sp holes, put on the tester and try it that way.

Using a compression tester, it's a must have. Around 150-175 per cylinder is good enough.

Took off the ground a few minutes ago and cut into 2 spots coppery gold inside.

It was outside with the hood off. Its in the garage now and I see nor smell gas. Checked all the grounds, they seem okay and tight? Power cable is screwed though... Should I replace the main ground to be sure?

What's the compression? Might be too high if you stressed the motor.

It was locked up because of all the gas in the cylinders. I don't know why the battery cable caught on fire, or why the machine only runs half the time.

It runs, it dies, it runs, it dies... Don't get it. Okay so here's my 2 dilemmas; Gets spark, compression and fuel. Only starts when it wants it seems then dies. Sometimes it has no spark, other times it's strong and white/blue and consistent. 2 days ago it started fine and ran for 2 hours...
