a full girdle is overkill. the half girdle has the studs on the exhaust side, the only spot it needs it.

just do 2 tone with black diamonds and orange grooves. it wont fade as fast but i would still try and keep it covered in the sun as much as possible. once its wet it will look new even if it slightly fades. get the NEW 2 tone though. the diamonds dont peel anymore.

i personally wouldnt use wsm on anything.

are your fuel lines stock of aftermarket? if they are old you could be leaking air into the lines where it plugs into the carbs or on the tank side. or possibly a cracked line. if there aftermarket and colored clear, look for air bubbles in the lines. make sure all the fuel lines are ziptied...

use a dremel

just flip the engine upside down, split the cases and do it right.
