I picked up 3 boxes (350 rounds per box) CCI Blazer Brass 9mm for $100 per box at Gander Mountain about 3 weeks ago and a box of CCI MiniMags (limit 1 box :( ). That puts me a little over 2k rounds 9mm and about 3k rounds 22lr.

When I go to Costco, Best Buy, etc, I'll see some BluRay movies playing on these 1080 flat screens and the movies look horrible IMHO. I know this sounds weird, but the clarity, brightness and what seems to be a lack of depth of field make them look like your watching something shot with a really...

Definitely a different take, but I was somewhat disappointed. I felt the movie was written for CGI and didn't do a good enough job of story and character development.

You can't check the status online, but the forms are now submitted online. You still have to call in to see where you are at. I just meant that everything had been received by the ATF and that the application was being processed. From what I've read, prior to the online submission, your...

A minor update. After I sent my trust, via email, to Silencer Shop, I've been waiting to receive my packet so that I can sign my stuff and send in my Form 4. Since I haven't received anything yet, I called them yesterday. Apparently, they need to update their video. Since all the ATF forms...

Academy no longer keeps ammo up front at customer service. With the exception of 22LR, the ammo is on the shelves. They have 22lr in stock, but you are limited to 2 boxes. I went to Gander Mountain, and they even had bulk 9mm in stock. 1000 rounds of Remington UMC for $269. The 22LR was only in...

Since the cost of setting up my trust was $6, I'm not too worried about that money. ;)

In my county, the sheriff won't sign off on any (exceptions to friends and campaign contributions I'm sure). With the LLC, you have to file some paperwork each year to maintain the LLC. I'm too lazy for that. As for the personal, as mentioned above, I'd have to move first. So, for me...

Well, lol, I just ordered my first suppressor. I got the SWR Spetre II to go on my GSG 1911 22. I'm doing the NFA trust (using Quicken Willmaker, lol). I ordered my can through Silencer Shop. They really make it easy to get it, especially being that they are also in Texas (Austin). The...

I was all set and ready to buy a G19, and then I shot and IWB holstered the PPS. I followed up by going online and reading a lot about the PPS, and I went that route. I still plan to get a Glock 9mm, probably still the G19, but for my primary CARRY, I felt the PPS was the gun for me. I just...

If you are referring to the Ruger's, they are in the $900 to $1600 range. The one I like is $1400. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/8-RUG-5913

See, you're baiting up a direct impingement vs piston debate, lol. I like the idea of an AR type frame build specifically for a piston system so that you don't have the heat and crud blowing back into your bolt carrier, and from what I've read, only the Ruger has a new design that isn't just...
