    Hand guns

Maybe late 2014 or early 2015. I was looking at the Ruger SR 556 5902 - and I'm not looking to get into a piston debate. ;)

    Hand guns

Oh, BTW, an update. About a week after this post, another friend invited me to go shooting with him out on his property. I shot a few different guns, including his primary carry, a Walther PPS 9mm. I enjoyed shooting the PPS a lot, and was really impressed how "low profile" it was to carry due...

Just ordered my IWB holster for my 9. I decided after some research to go with White Hat and got the MaxTuck - http://www.whitehatholsters.com/maxtuck/?sort=pricedesc It's essentially the same as the Crossbreed (and several others), but made in Texas. Scheduling my CHL class for Nov 9.

The 40 was a sig, but I don't know the model. The 45 was a Springfield Armory, but I don't know that model either other than it was NOT a 1911.

    Hand guns

I went to the range last night and shot about 9 different pistols with different rounds including 38, 9, 40 and 45. After doing a bit of research and then firing different weapons, I've decided to go with the G19. Now, my only decision is to go with the Gen 3 or the Gen 4. Last night I put...

    Hand guns

Even a 22 has "stopping power". From today's news: http://www.ajc.com/news/news/national/daughter-kills-mother-dad-kills-daughter/nbBSL/ A two-decade family feud came to a violent end when a man shot dead the two home invaders that killed his wife and son, not knowing the assailants included...

    Hand guns

Just sold my zero-turn mower, so now I am funded for a pistol. The only thing I know at this point is that I'm leaning towards a 9. I plan to fire a few different models to see what I like. It's going to be for carry, with most of it's time below my seat in the day and my safe at night.

    Hand guns

I always get a kick when HR does our yearly "company rules" presentation and they get to the "no guns on company property" rule and then multiple people site the Texas law. HR, "I'm just going by what's in the handbook."

It looks like that bulkhead fitting is the best way to go.

Other JetDock DIY air assist - pneumatic question

I have a JetDock floating dock for my little boat. I've configured the cubes several different ways, but no matter how I do it (with the cubes I have), the back of the boat dips in about 2 inches in the water. Ideally, I don't want any of the boat to be touching the water. The JetDock solution...

You might have inspired me. I think I will start a dotcom so that I can make millions and quit my current job. Wish me luck. ;)

    Hand guns

I was looking at the Kimbers about 7 weeks ago at a gun show, and that pistol was $1300 and the conversion was $400 (if memory serves me right on the .22 conversion). I also do not know if the gun show price was lower or higher than what you normally see. Edit: And that was for new in box.

    Other Movie review thread

Ugghhh, I can't handle watching those Bond movies anymore (specifically the ones from the 80's and 90's). I enjoyed them at the time, but now they almost seem to be parodies.
