Mine will have the long plate on for surf, pole at longest it goes, otherwise you could try mine if surf isn't to nasty. Not worth monkeyin with the pole and short plate in the surf.
Thanks for the tips guys, I replaced the straight cooling line with a ss one I picked up at my metals supply. There was little to no corrosion on the ends of that line. I will fill the tray with water and check for any leaks. I have all the reinforcing done to the rear. I think the bent line...
Any reason you used ss and aluminum? if these aren't corroded maybe I can insulate with glass, but getting them out in one piece may not be an option. I got the inside of the rear all cleaned up to put some tabs in the corners, I originally did all the work from the outside.
So where did others tube corrode and leak? Where it goes through the hull? How can you identify aluminum from stainless? These kind of look like ss. No corrosion on the outside of them.
