We have a steering kit that works with the 08 (FX-1) setup and uses a little longer than stock pre 08 cables. Shmity TS Innovations

I guess if your getting a new pole the steering system we make won't help you out. Our HD cable will fit pre 08's if you ever need one, $70 plus shipping. Shmity
