I used pink foam for the majority of the tray and then expanding foam just to kind of fill gaps and help provide a little extra structural support. That way any water that gets in wont be absorbed by the pink foam and even if 100% of the minuscule amount of expanding foam got waterlogged it...

Just saw beasts of no nation on Netflix. Really good flick. Similar type of movie as slumdog millionaire or city of God.
