Who can 3D print something for me??

Yup during annealing the part is supposed to shrink about 5% in xy directions and grow about 2% in z dir, can find that info in other articles but I thought that one I sent was more to the point on the actual annealing. And I also figure on the nozzle the 2% z growth isn’t worth worrying about

Who can 3D print something for me??

Yeah no gripe with them charging for them, if there's no incentive no one would design new stuff. not sure if they run the nozzles as printed but you may want to try this for longevity: https://all3dp.com/2/annealing-pla-prints-for-strength-easy-ways/ and possibly have whoever prints it scale...

Who can 3D print something for me??

I got some printers sitting here idle as well, was gonna switch the one over to carbon reinforced filament soon, but for Z strength I think the best thing you can do still is anneal it after printing. Side note, I thought the files were free this summer? I cadded and printed a stock replica...

    Rrp !

Drill it and bush it? Haven’t dealt with rrp trim but surprising it looks like it just rides directly on the head of the shcs, or even drill it for a sealed bearing and replace the socket head with a set screw if the sizes work out like that

    Carbon EME Q8

When did you get that? How long till I try to buy it off you? lol I just grabbed a js hull and a 750ss for the motor, not sure if I'm gonna use a 550 pump or do the 750 pump swap yet but if I go 550 I'll have a spare 750 pump laying around. Or If I abandon ship I'll have a whole 750ss donor...

    66E Conversion

Layed up two hoods this weekend, The first one was way too flimsy at only 4 layers. The second one I used the rest of the carbon I had, making it 9 layers and an extra strip under where the pole pad will land. I would still like it thicker, but I think once I add a chamber for breathers it will...

    the trivial complaints thread

My weather tech mats will snag the clutch pedal if you push too far, or the brake pedal when bleeding brakes. Would be cool if they just made them an inch longer If this sort of thing happened to a Prius driver there would be a lawsuit...lol

    anyone making custom rideplates?

If you have an stl you want, I have a printer big enough, I was just thinking I needed to come up with a ride plate for my amp hull. As BK said might want to print the mold and layup a carbon or fiberglass plate for something more long term. I was actually going to try to print mine with carbon...

Other What did you fab up today? A thread for the home fabricators!

Some resins are supposed to be comparable to abs, the only sla parts I've gotten seemed stronger than a pla counterpart, but absorbed moisture eventually and lost all stiffness tuning into almost a flexible part. I dont know what type of resin they were printed from. I'm sure @beerdart has a...

SLA printers have better resolution, parts especially small ones with fine features come off looking way better from an sla printer. As printed the parts are much more isotropic too. FDM parts can have pretty poor adhesion between layers especially if your temp, speed etc aren't dialed in very well.
