You wont gain any hook up without a top loader or a larger pump, and im not convinced my top loader even made a big difference. Youll just have more power when the pump does decide to grab.
EDIT - Im running a ported coffman sizzler, good value if you can find one.
I have a skat 19-24 and its a decent improvement over stock. The pump still cavitates through messy water and on landings though. I dont think you'll get any huge bottom end with the stock pump.
I like the JD plate. I've only ridden stock and JD, but the JD plate keeps the hull in line much better. It was a little wierd to get used to, bucked me off the highside a few times before i adjusted my riding. Makes a fun hull even more fun imo.
Every time my ski gives me trouble, I blow something up, or can't figure something out, this video gives me the motivation to get back on the water. One day...
