If I were to Play devils advocate though I would say that a low priced dirty ski with the right engine has made tons of guys on here a bunch of money once they cleaned them up and resold them.
Decisions decisions.
I'm partial to the blue one. A 650 that runs is faster than a 701 that's always broken ;) the whole white ski seems like it hasn't been taken care of at all.
Yes buy a helmet! Most guys use full face downhill helmets. @tightithrash wrote a great review about all of the helmets he has used. Based on his review about it being the biggest bang for your buck I went with his recommendation of the giro cipher. As far as a wetsuit goes lots of guys...
He's right. If you are going to widen the tray wait till winter. A stock fx1 is still a great ski and you haven't had nearly enough time to master it. Don't rush it just have fun learning

Our safety shoe program budget is being reevaluated so new purchases are on hold until the allotment amount is decided. Of course this happens on the week when I cant go buy new ones on the company dime. Might just have to buy my own.
You did NOT buy the wrong ski! I love the fx1 and searched for one for a long time. They are very rare so hold on to it even if you decide to get a different ski.
You should highly consider widening the tray. I widened the back of my tray myself when I installed adjustable footholds. It wasn't...
Someone on the jet ski is unless you pay extra for a handheld control. When I rode one the guy in the ski was terrible. I would tell him to give it throttle and he would wait, then I would get off balance and he would lay on the throttle launching me to the side. i admit I wasn't a natural at it...
