I just got a new mod pipe for my new to me able motor and the ports are pretty far off. What is the best way to make a template to port the manifold to match my cylinder? Will it make a difference in performance? Thanks

My buddy picked up an 06 SJ in December. He just put on a B-pipe and was unable to get it to run clean on top. I asked if he did the included jetting and set the mixture screws correctly. He said he could not find the mixture screws!! So i pulled his hood and sure enough, there are no mixture...

Well..I got it off. I did not care if I ruined the stock coupler so I clamped the middle of the shaft in a vice, Heated the coupler with a torch, wrapped the bearing assy with a wet rag and tapped it loose with a hammer. Came off pretty easy.

Is there a way to remove the the coupler from the intermediate shaft with out the special yamaha tools?

I want a hull with deeper strakes and built in sponsons like the SXR. I know alot of people like the slidy handling of a stock SJ, but I want a ski that can really carve on the face of a wave. My tubbied SJ is pretty sweet in the waves. However if it had an SXR like bottom and weighed 30-40...
