Ya you might be right curb. I haven't really liked the fit of the holds on my feet since I picked the ski up. I'm going to put some more effort getting them set up for my foot now that I have a few weeks I can't ride. Tks again to everyone for their opinions...

I think so. I have the turf off and it looks like the enclosed part Is an add on to the hold. Some guys run them without that enclosure completely schmidty?

I hear ya zimmy. There is plenty of material there to work with and I think I can still have a great hold with an exit path to minimumize risk. Tweeked ankle=no riding:(

Are ankle injuries just part of the game when using foot holds? I like being able to hold the tray better but if I'm going to tweek my ankle every time I land funny it's not really worth it...

Just curious what everyone thinks of the enclosed Rok foot holds. I sprained my ankle this weekend after launching off a set up wake. Landed a bit vertical and to the right and when my legs went right my foot stayed and popped. I'm thinking of trimming the toe area so it's open to the tray so my...
This is what I love about the X. I have never even heard of neoprene socks before, but sounds like a great part of your riding gear. It's cold here in Michigan, I'm getting some of those baby's!

The s4 selector on switch 1's whole purpose is EITHER led operate OR engine operate. The fact the led dose blink in run mode can't be rite. Maybe a bad pot on that switch or something else inside the brain not happy. No brain=no spark? I know you said its new but...
My box is mounted to an alum...
I have had a few of these boxes. With the s4 switch in the off pos which is the run position the led should not flash when the magnet passes the triggers. It will flash a steady sequence in the run mode when you kill the engine and the switched power still has power on it thou.
I have never...
Seems a silly question but I have seen several pics of these boxes in different skis for sale on the X. Have seen the box in different positions. I assumed the smaller dia tube with the rib rolled in it is the inlet and the larger dia tube is the exit. Is this true? Dose it not matter which way...
Thank you all for the input. I get the theory's behind all the points made and I'm sure the extra billet and outboard mounting hardware improve the strength a bunch and take the stress away from the castings. Sled stuff has light weight tuned pipes that weigh very little so the weight isn't a...
I am curious where the girdled heads came from? Were there a lot of failures with striped head bolts in cyls from extra compression and this is how they saw best to fix that?
I have a lot of experience with high compression ratio two stroke snomobile engines and there are no girdled heads at all...
Ya most of the people I have talked to think the Rok is a great all around hull. So many options out there, just find what suits you for sure.
I piped water into the manifold today and liked it. It knocked the bark out of the exhaust just enuff. Soooo responsive tonight at the hit, were on a roll!
Wow Waxhead, my expierence has been exactly the oppisite. Just goes to show that with all the variables in setup and porting and bla bla bla, some things work and some things dont in certain setups. Im gonna leave them in for now but if I pull them I will let you know how it changes.
I bored the...
Hey wax head. Have you put stuffers in and lost performance on a ski? I have seen a lot of motors and this is the only reed setup I have seen with nothing in the reed box. These reeds are huge also. The stuffer pulls the fuel to the outside petals where the transfers are which is everything in...
When I say improved nicely I mean its reacting n pulling hard like I would expect. I have never riden a 1200 monster or any other big cc ski for that matter. I watch the vids of the pros n it's not hittin like that but it feels impressive now to me. I wouldn't consider trying to flip it the way...
Well here are the port specs on the 66v cyls stock. 200 degrees exhaust with the blade open and 180 closed. The transfers are 123. I took WDK's advice and trimmed 2mm off the cyls. .020" of indicator travel = 1 degree of port duration. Soooo now we are 196 open exhaust, 176 blade closed, and...
The blinking lite on the brain is normal as I recall. I have the pro digital setup on my drag sled and after the engine has been running and you hit the kill to stop the engine but leave the switched power on the led just blinks until the motor starts again or u turn it off. If the motor is...
