    Water shoes for sandy enviroment?

As long as it drains the sand also and doesn't completely trap it. Just shoes with some grip that you can get wet often that won't mild dew or rot. Surely people riding surf/beach have a preference since they are constantly in sand and jumping.

Size 12. First day riding yesterday and the soles ripped off some $10 dollar water shoes and I had to walk back to car on hot asphalt... Do you think wrestling shoes would work with some kind of neoprene liner to keep sand out or better to get purpose "jet ski" shoe?
