My ski has had the gas cap delete and would like to just keep it simple and keep the internal fill.

So my 06 Sxr came with a kart tank which isn't for me as ride times are cut short. What do most people use besides a stock Sxr tank? Would a 550 tank be a good compromise of fuel capacity to space in the hull?

Also I am not a super experienced stand up rider yet. I got my Sxr going first of the year but had a slammed busy year of work and had no ride time. Most of my ride time in years past has been on hx's.

I just picked up a Kawi 1100 motor and electronics, so my plan is to hi thru the 1100 and have a fresh motor to put in my Sxr and use my built 800 Sxr motor and electronics in a lighter aftermarket hull. I want a ski that will handle surf well but also be fun and nimble on flat water.

I am looking to get an am hull to build up but I'm between the q8 and the brawler. I ride an equal amount of surf and river/lakes, so looking for a nice hull that will do good in both. Any insite into the hulls would be appreciated.

sorry guys i had to set the project aside for a bit, i am having to close my shop and also moving to a new town but almost settled and able to start back on the hx build. i def have hated not having the time to build it.

I put my Ebox together today with msd enhancer and ecwi controller for spec 2 factory pipe setup. I am running my electronics up by the motor as all do but I'm going to put the battery in the rear, so I made the grey Ebox where it mounts in the battery area of the black Ebox/battery box.

Got the motor painted. Painted to match the color for my ski when I get the glass work done. Will get the motor back together this weekend. It will be blue and silver. Here is a sample of the color I used.

Well sorry for no posts for a bit, I got slammed at work. In what little time I have had I got the cases and cylinders sanded and ready to paint, got my motor mounts in from rhaas. My 787 rear motor mount brackets are being made up and should have those in a few days. I got a r&d nozzle set...
