Agreed with no finer than 600. A grey scotch brite pad is equal to 600 grit sand paper. As far as cleaning before your next coat of color just use a tack rag. Useing any form of liquid could cause an issue when spraying if you do not completely dry it.

What brand paint is it? 1.5 pints is cutting it close as the senergy green has a lot of pearl and isn't the best covering color. I def recommend wet sanding with 600 and putting a silver base down first. I painted my Sxr senergy green and black. I also put 2 light coats of candy green over the...

I was looking on the is composites website and they have an epoxy resin gallon kit and it is about $30 less than the west epoxy resin kit. Is the us composites resin just as durable as the west system or is it better to spend the extra $30 now and save a huge headache and disappointment later...

Hood shortened and lowered. Just got to prep surfaces for glass and lay the glass now. Hopefully that will get done this week.

Just got the hood cut, shortened and ready to glass. It's been super busy at my shop and hasn't left me much time to work on the glass work. Hope to get it glassed up next week and will post more progress pics once I get that done.

I have a ski I am doing a custom build with and going to put an up trim system on it. I have an r&d nozzle but that's all. I need a cable and lever I know but I'm not sure how to set up a return part so when I release the lever the nozzle drops back down. Can anyone help with some advice cause...

I cut 6 inches off the whole nose then 6" out of the top deck and moved the front section back the 6 inches and the rocker nose peice pretty dang close then. He laid it up thin which made it flexible and allowed it to be close and fit...

Stock seat yes but no I am shortning the hood 6" to match the 6" I took out of the top deck. Stock hx dry weight is 390 pounds.

Well I can weigh those peices but you also have to take into thought the weight of the glass you put back in. I know stock dry weight is 390 pounds. I am going to weigh my ski just before I add gas and fire it up and see what my dry weight is after all the glass work and motor work.

So I'm down from 108" to 89" makin for a loss of 19" off the leangth. I would say with 19" of loss the rocker nose the trim kit and a built 787 this should be a fun surf ski!!
