Super Jet Trick's 1st SN build

Nice man, great to hear. The sn in our group has funky handling, its a real flat turning ski that doesnt like to lean so its interesting to hear the improvement.

Super Jet Trick's 1st SN build

Nice build man. What are your thoughts on how the prowatercraft front sponsons help with handling? I havent tried them on a sn.

    WetJet (Picklefork style) restomod

Sweet. How does this thing handle? Are you going to keep the stock engine in it or swap something else in eventually?

    F-neXt-1

This was an extremely innovative build back in the day and i thought about experimenting with a 900/ bpipe arrangement. Did you ever do any comparison to see just how much better the set up was over the stock 900 pipe?

    A Back Flippin' 550!

Good progress. That pipe looks good, but just know it will really limit the power on the 750 engine. Those with mods are excellent 650 pipes, but not 750. Based on my experience the flow is not sufficient for a dual carb 750. PJS big 650/750 pipes go for 250-300 if you keep your eyes open and...

'14 RN My First Build: Refoam, Footwells, ect.

That 300 or so is most likely a dry weight too. Did you have any gas in the tank? My brother has an immaculate 95 SN which weighs more than his sxi pro! Thats a 40 lb difference but we could not believe it had that much in it. Guess it could! Great info. Where are you moving to in Michigan? A...

    Custom/Hybrid Melmack's very unique 300sx build

Interesting thread, whats the latest? Btw i weighed my 550cc/ 44sbn/jet power manifold/ factory half pipe and my 750cc/40 Keihin/ PJS 650 ex 2650 pipe when i first did my 550/750 conversion. There was a 9 lb weight difference, 76lbs for the 550 and 85 for the 750. A lot of that is due to the...

    Jetting 2012 Superjet

Bumping this up, i could use good oem dual 38 settings for a stock engine, stock pipe. From the factory they come a bit rich right?

Super Jet Length of Superjet ride plates

The 08+ is the same plate as the square, but with only the first four holes drilled. It's set back in the hull along with the pump.

Stock Rail Caps vs Jettrim Mat Caps

The jettrim side mats are designed to replace the oem side mat material. I just got a set for mine, the ones that work with the oem rubber caps. Since the side mat material is in great shape, I'm leaving those and adding just the bottom mat. When the time comes to replace the side mats I'll...

    A Back Flippin' 550!

We have a 550/750 dual carb in our group with a 650 pump tunnel. Same exact motor as my current engine, same carb tuning and all, as I helped my bud set it up. No difference pump wise to the Rhaas pump swap. And when I mean no difference, i am estimating based on our differences. I have a few...

SXR Rode the New 2017 SXR

Thanks for sharing. Could you stand on it when it wasn't moving? Based on previous info it looks like you can. That would be a bit of a shame, as it takes satisfaction away from learning the machine. Still eager to try it.

    A Back Flippin' 550!

Nothing between us and you that im aware of. We do have a pretty decent group. Normally we have 12 skis or so out, and this year when other guys visit getting to 14-16 would be pretty easy. We have everything from a superstock 440 to two 1100 sxrs. Freestyle we have an xscream and Rickter...

    A Back Flippin' 550!

This is interesting, but the Rhaas pump swap kit does accomplish the same thing rather well. And the way the pump mounts further back makes the inlet tract volume significantly better. I was a beta tester for the pump swap and have done all sorts of things. My build thread is in the individual...

Super Jet 2011 superjet, all stock very unstable ride

That's pretty funny. Believe it or not, I really haven't been criticised of that outside this forum. Quite the opposite in fact, frequently I say pretty much anyone can do most of what I do at work. Maybe that's why they freak out when they learn I design parts for the planes they fly on.

Super Jet 2011 superjet, all stock very unstable ride

Ha maybe. It does look like that. I didn't figure I was saying anything too revolutionary. So then I backed up what I'm feeling on the ski with a kindergarten grade physics explanation. Just so if any kindergartners were reading they would understand too. ;)

Super Jet 2011 superjet, all stock very unstable ride

Lol.. I said objective observer. Observer being the key word there. Knowing how to relate what I'm actually feeling to the physics involved is pretty straight forward to me. Peace out dude, I wish you all the best. Based on what I've seen, I think the death wobble is from water hitting the...
