Nice write up. Im ready to buy an Edge and am debating a FS over an FR, you said you would goto an FS to save the 11 lbs? Anything you would have done differently other than that?
Ive been considering building a ski over the last 6 months and have zoned in all all types of rickters. Searched for this but no luck. I realize the Edge FR is built up extra to take a beating in the surf and so on. How does all of this equate to weight difference between the two hulls?
Hopefully this is a good thing for both parties, seems like a win win for us all. Erik has always been great to deal with., he is a standup grade A guy and I wish him the best in all of his endeavors. I'm probably biased but I like the look of Erik's TPE head better :-)

For my 701 I switched to a Skat 12/17 Thinblade Swirl. I'm actually setting my 144 pump to the side for a while. Upgraded to a bigger engine and a 148 torrent pump.
