Rad Dudes in the house! Thanks to Mark for getting some sick new cables!!
Then I got to work on some port matching. First I got the gasket done. Then moved on to the Manifold. I also had to go at the cylinder a little. Needed to move the manifold up. So took some off the power valve...
I know all that stuff adds weight but not enough in my case buddy. I feel the Spring support will have to be shortened so it doesn't put as much pre-load on spring. For some reason I have a super spring...haha
Ok Got the pole on. The braket that comes with the ski has the provison for the pole spring bracket. I like
pole springs so i don't have the feel of always picking up the pole. So after getting the brcket and spring all installed I could not get enough tentions on the pole bolt to keep the...
OK time to get this thread more up to date. May end up being more pics than info. HAHA
Working on motor mounts. Loctite all bolts. Harrison I got you covered.
Nice thing about Rickter is the Trim tube points to the bottom of hull so when it come out of firewall the cable doesn't run into...
I will let you back flop the XFR. Your going to flop quite a few times in the beginnig. The cool thing is it doesnt hurt as bad as learning flat water rolls. But remember you can't be afraid of the throttle.....:):):):)
I can't wait to rip this thing this weekend. Nice buddy! Your thread always have tons of info. I have way more distracions to have time to make a nice thread. My thread is way behind.
Next I ran into a snag. When turned all the way to the left and the trim all the way up the steering cable would hit one of the cooling fittings. So after looking at a buddy's ski and not knowing anything about his ski I saw that the stator section of the pump was rotated 180 degrees. Which...
OK next was to install pump. It took me awhile to get pump aligned just right. No dowel pins are used on wear ring to hull, so now you have to worry about the right to left and up and down adjustment of pump. With the dowel pins on a OEM SJ the right and left is controlled. Also had to be...
Pump Shoe: I went with a Aluminum shoe that I took off another ski. I had 45 minutes of grinding/sanding to get it to fit the way I wanted. Then dropped off to the powder coater. After powder coat it fit just as good as before powder coat. I used OEM pump shoe screws, so I had to open up...
Yeah Wilkey I wish it said XFR also. Not totally sure why it doesnt say XFR. Maybe someone can chime in. I think it was something about graphics already made.
Not sure if I will get all the details. I seem to get on a roll and forget about taking pictures. Brian I will try.
So I pulled my...
:brap:OK...I thought I would start a build thread as now I know I will be working on ski until it is done.
Too many friends with too many skies have kept me busy!
So I ordered ski March 2011 and took possession January 2012. Long a$$ wait but good thing, cause many other parts were very slow...
You got to make sure both lines coming out of the firewall are hooked to the pump. On a OEM 650sx one line out of the firewall is a dump line for the stock pipe. So depending on the second line on the firewall you may over heat the pipe or motor according to your second drawing.
Where you...
