Great Thread...I'm trying to decide if my hurricane needs hood vents with just a 701, dual carbs, pfp, xmetal pole.. Correct me if I'm wrong but would taking the hood off and going for a short rip to see if there is any substantial gains give us the answer to this question

I just did the same thing, on the pump side brass fitting use a small bit of 3/8 tube then slide the 1/2 over top of it, I'll see if I can find a pic

Put a small piece of 3/8 tubing over the brass fitting then slide the 1/2 over top and clamp it
