Thanks every pulled my strainers and they were perfectly clean, removed and drained my inline filter and blew through it and it was 99% blocked. I can't beleive it was even running that restricted. Swapped filters with my SJ and It ran perfectly again
Thanks John,
Yes zero changes when this sustained high rpm power loss starting happening. Ski has been the exact same 6+ years. Just wanted to be sure if I should check anything else before having to order parts to Canada.
The ski still seams to ride 100% fine everywhere else in the throttle...
Twin carb factory piped 701 in my FS2 has developed a bog when holding a constant speed at high rpm then clears out and rides fine. Before it started doing this it died once like chopping the throttle during a 3 second pull at wot then started up fine but recently developed the high rpm bog...
Rickter versi plug seams to be running dryer than the flap. Happy with it, atkeast it cant fall off like the flap.
Any suggestions on a taller hood pad for my FS2? I think I tried to fit a showtime freestyle but it was smaller diameter than the rickter one.
I'd prefer to not have glue showing...
Hopefully keeps the bay dryer because the flap always let 1-1.5" water in. Even after it's on the stand. Will the ball scupper help it run dryer? Will the rubber flap block the water it needs to use as pressure to close?
Any suggestions on where to get a well made taller pole pad for an FS2? Does rickter make a taller one? Do you just cut the rickter one off and tape, scuff and contact cement the new one? Thanks
Thanks everyone. I found my e box was full of water causing my no spark after killing the ski even if it ran for an hour. It has a newer seal and has never done this before. My scupper holds atleast 1" of water in my hull regardless. I'm going to go thrust ball scupper conversion any reasons...
Apreciate the advise. Ski was tuned by the previous owner and ran great 5 years straight. Still runs great just maybe once a day if I crash super bad it hard starts.
I've never had it sink or stay upside down for more than 10 seconds but I'm sure getting a splash of water in the carbs is what's happening. Pretty sure the fs2 is foamed and won't sink anyways
Is it normal to have 1/2 to 3/4" water in the hull of an an fs2 with rickter flap scupper only? This is after pulling it onto my beach tote after some mild lake riding.
Atleast once a day i have a decent crash and a hard starting issue for 10 mins or until after it dries out. I think I'm...
