Right on, anyway of knowing if just the mini scupper would not let smoke in? Trying to avoid spending $250 cdn on a chunk of plastic w a ball in it if I can get away with just the small version you're running without the inline large ball scupper.
I'm not running a bilge just factory scupper...
Good read, forgot about his thread. my 1 year old rickter scupper flap is already showing signs of dry rotting and cracking. I'm going to have to do something about it next season but I'd hate to spend a few hundred cdn on a thrust/other scupper just to have my engine choke on smoke. May be...
You are overthinking this. Clean used round nose pole for $200 and done. No extra work
With the time you spent disassembling your pole and having it welded you could of already had a different good pole on and be done. When this breaks you'll be starting over.
It may hold up or it may just snap again leaving you stranded. Not worth potentially stretching your throttle cable and watching you ski go wot into some rocks/boat. Personally my summers is to short for those sort of repairs, replace it once and be done with VS trying to fix fatigued parts...
You're lucky you didnt loose control of the ski when this happened. When poles break sometimes cables get yanked and it gets stuck at wide open throttle Dont risk your ski doing a bubble gum fix instead of a spending $150, that pole WILL break again.
You're definetly going to need a new pole, you cant repair that. May as well go aftermarket at this point unless a superjet pole fits. Some one will have to chime in on that
Cool info! I'm running thrust pro trim on my 701 FS2 Evo. I dont think the thrust trim ring reduced my flow but now youv got me wondering if a thrust exit nozzle is the same diameter of an OEM 144 nozzle. Ski rips and holds wot like crazy. Cant even remember what it was like before.
Totally...
My old 750 was on rails you just gotta learn how to ride it. Watch the stance and positioning of some racers and copy it.
You may have a pump shim that angles the nozzle downward. This helps with porpoising
I've got an 07 and an FS2 evo and I still love getting back on my superjet and railing turns. It's a nice break from the Rickter and I don't think I'll ever get rid of it.
I owned an sx as a first ski, felt like it carved way harder Than my pre SJ ever will but I dont miss it.
