Andy- That was my plan. I'm pretty sure the grease/oil look to be from an overly enthusiastic bendix lube job. There are salt deposits everywhere so definitely had a leaky cover seal. I'll clean it up later and see if I get spark back.

Update: Last night I decided to pull the start/stop switch apart. After disassembling it, I couldn't really find anything visually wrong with it. Tested it with a multi-meter and it seemed to be functioning properly. (I don't know what values I should be looking for) I hit the start button...

Not exactly. After rebuilding carbs I lost spark. Now chasing that problem.

That's a possibility...Although the ski ran terrible right off the bat. My spark never came back after any amount of time.

Also, when I opened up the ebox I noticed these two wires were disconnected (pink wire and a wire heading to ground). I have no idea if that was intentional or a consequence of something else. Anyone care to shed some light on this? It looks like they were connected at some point considering...
