I understand why you sold the X2, unless you have awesome waves in your area or always get to ride with big boats you can only carve around so much until youre bored. I wouldnt trash talk it though, looks awesome all chopped up!
Those are great to have around when doing all sorts of service work and save coolant/fuel loss and clean up too. Ive had a few around for a while and they always come in handy
loosen the bolts, put your feet in the holds and push them down by hand to where they are comfortable and tighten them down while holding them at the desired pressure. Took me a few tried to find the right fit too.
1.5 summers on a 750 SX
1.5 summers on a RN SJ
and just picked up an FS2 evo1 to finish up my 3rd year riding
trying my friends FX1 3 years ago sure got expesnive fast..
wow thats a bad leak. I immediately removed that weak paper tape from my SJ bulkhead and replaced it with Gorilla tape. Foam was bone dry in my 07 when it cut the tray for holds last winter. Fingers crossed
SXR's are terrible without a pipe! honestly seams like they're using atleast 30% more fuel than my superjet.
I can ride my piped 701 in my FS2 evo for HOURS without running out of fuel, dont even notice the difference from my stock 701 SJ in fuel use
Hey Jacob honestly for the amount of money you would waste trying to get more power out of that little motor you would be better investing the money into a newer ski that already has the power you want. You would have to spend a few thousand on a swap or boring for a marginal gain when the same...
looking good! you wont regret scuffing your hull up so the turf sticks properly! just make sure you tape around everywhere you don't want to accidentally sand or get glue on! Easier to peel tape than get glue off your new paint! GL
Damn that rust is from water sitting in there after you swamped the motor. After you got all of the water out you should of fogged the piss out of that motor before putting the ski away. Looks like it may of just needed a head gasket all along. I would do a head gasket, check compression and see...
Looks like you're almost ready for some paint! Better grab a 5mil wetsuit cause there's lots of summer left. Looking good!
What did the stock hull weigh?
Looks like the hull hooks need to be moved forward or they're slightly bent back. Should hook into the hull mounts tightly in the further back highest part.
Last night's project! First ski with trim, stoked to try it today. Having trouble Inserting full size images. gives me the broken picture icon when using an imgur link
I only rip flat water but its a mild ski so no crazy combos, mostly chasing boats at the river or lake. Mines just on its way out so looking for some piece of mind if my ski were to ever spend some time upside down or have the original fall off.

any chance these would fit a rickter flap scupper with the original trim ring installed? Very interested because i don't want to rip off the original ring if i could just glue this in. Anyone out there knows if the krash...
