Afternoon Just wondered if someone could post the profile dimensions of SXR hood seal?? I need a replacement but not going Kwak as serious ££££ over here so found a guy that makes seals of all shapes and sizes. The seal is still on the hood so I only need the ski part around the engine bay...

Will depend what pipe he is running as to whether there will be enough room to slide it back, also by sliding it back it may allow you access to the tank but if it has to come out I doubt there would be enough room. Worth a shot though. Si

Having just stripped my SXR for rebuild I can tell you the engine needs to come out to get the tank out, there's not even enough space to unbolt the engine from plate and slide back. Unfortunately the lot has to come out. Not heard of tank cracking there before?!? Si

Thanks bud, I had read it was possible with removing ebox but I figure once cut it's done then. I had marked it but since been sprayed over. Si

Does anyone have a photo of the cuts you need to make in rim of engine compartment I order to fit the engine with dry pipe already attached?? I did mark it up before paint but the got covered when it was sprayed up! Cheers Si

Just done the same with mine as when I removed the rail caps during my strip down they broke. Filled holes, glassed the ridges smooth and will be fitting undermpad before turfing up and over the top. Si
