Obviously. Anything can be used as a filler. And there are many different methods and products. Bondo should never be used on anything that will go in the water as it draws moisture. A marine grade bondo would be suitable for a boat, maybe even a sit down jet ski, but not for a stand up...

Fiberglass doesn't come out straight when it's popped out of the mold. Top of the line race skis aren't even straight....but my opinion of straight is probably different than yours. I'm a car guy and I notice every little imperfection.

I believe the shaft has to be shortened.
The bolt pattern on the housing fits. I think jet maniac on here can shorten shafts just like you need. Talk to him.
