It won't be a big deal if the aftermarket starter craps out while I'm standing on shore, but if I have to swim the ski 6 miles back, because the starter dies, my vote will be for the new OE starter! Jon

I'd tend to go with you on this one. I bought a aftermarket ($32.00 = 1 year replacement warranty)and a real low hour used oe starter as a back up. I guess we'll find out. The aftermarket looks to have decent bearings and seals. - I guess time will tell. Jon

So, I'm still trying to clean up some of the salt water corrosion on my recent purchase, when I spy my starter, and say, I should remove that, clean, repaint, and lube it up, etc. Ten minutes later, when I'm pulling the motor so I can take the stator cover off to push out the snapped off oring...

Lucky!!!! No, unfortunately it doesn't. It has a good size swim platform, - 10' x 3', but its teak and id feel horrible if i messed it up. Thanks for the input. Nice boat! Jon

Other than cranes/ davits anyone loading their standups on their big boat? I have a 42' trawler that I want to put a ski on or at least be able to travel with. Towing isn't really a good option, anybody have any ideas? I thought of building some kind of cradle to put my ski in my hard bottom...

I thought I'd pass along how happy I was with the quality of customer service and workmanship from Atlantic Jet Sports with their pump reline service. They turned my beat up 800 pump into a "like new" with a three day turn around. - All for under $200. Thanks guys! Jon
