If you spend $40 for a Flowcontrol valve and put it to the line with the waterbox or stinger it will make it pretty snappy. You could even do two if you wanted. That's alot of water dumping in there.

I'd say the bigger pump is the fix. I had a similar problem with mine. I got a hold of an old 19-21 mod impeller with a 4mm bigger hub. It helped a bit.
If you get one be sure to run it with an advance plate and retard module. I know that sounds like it makes no sense but the retard module is only for higher rpm.
