    300/440/550 Possible Frankenstein project!!

That 550 chamber will probaly hurt it a little. Those engines are 650/750 style engines. I'd try to sqeeze a 650 chamer in that hull. Should rock then . These engines were rated at 90hp , but that was with all aftermarket PJS stuff.

    300/440/550 Possible Frankenstein project!!

Is it a reed cyl? If so it's most likely 700 (80mm bore 650 crank). It's an OK engine , I have one , comparable to a 750 Kaw. If it's a case reed Cyl it's most likely a 750 Super cyl and probaly has the name Jensen on it. If so RUN It! I have one of those too , it rips! If fact there will be no...

300/440/550 who has made a custom ride plate??

Well I'll get lots of Negetives about this I'm sure. I just bolted a piece of fiberglassed re-enforced plywood on top of the rideplate with two strips of 1/4 steel. It worked GREAT. I think the guy who started the thread lives by me. If you ever launch at Winthrop Harbor IL. , PM me you can have...

300/440/550 Can anybody ID a PJS motor for me?

Now that the heads off , whats the bore size? 79mm should be a 700 , bigger a 800 , both rated at 90hp. Assuming that the stroke is 74mm. I have pretty much the same engine top-end wise. A viper 9000 , 79mm bore , 74mm stroke but on a 550 style lower end. In a 650SX with a single 38 and...

Replaced the 9-17 skat impeller and stock reduction nozzle with a 11-19 skat and a nozzle bored to 82.5mm today. Scotch brighted and washed the pipe , installed a second 500gph bilge pump. The Mrd has hit a little snag on this engine. The PJS Viper motors use a nut to hold the flywheel on...

Well after pulling the stock 650 out of the X2 yesterday I found out where my X2 hull needed fiberglass. The left chine has a fist sized spot that was crushed and repaired with some type of liquid nails type material. I ended up fiberglassig the entire bow from the back of the battery tray...

Not too much is better than a Ltd.701 for playing around. Ecwi works good on Kaws and works on your your next boat regardless of brand.
