If you're not planning on running larger carbs i'd stick with the 718/735. The 781 has a lot of case work done to help with flow. epoxied, finger ported, etc. If you've got a big set of 46/48mm carbs to put on it the 781 would see bigger benefits.
I've used vsdc for the past few years and like it. I do very minimal editing so I figured out the basic functions and disregarded all the extra stuff.

Agreed, you get 19 gauge minimum, compared to standard duty 21 gauge. 25% thicker. I still need to run power to mine. I have their heavy duty 61" workbench for my work and has held up excellent over the past 5 years.
Another season has ended for the beach cart. The lithium batteries have been great. I can do 2-3 outings without needing to recharge. There is still a power draw somewhere so I disconnect the batteries when not in use. I haven't needed to lock the axle for more traction so if there were a...
2 years ago I slipped out of the tray in the air and landed on my shin, splitting it open and needing stitches. Last year I was attempting surf backflips and my hands slipped off. Ski fell from some height right onto my chest. Broken ribs and ulna, slightly punctured lung, Pullmanary...
I haven't seen any pictures from the back. If it's got a big versiplug and backup bilge it should be fine on keeping water to a minimum. I've never touched the bilge switch in my sv1 with a versiplug in the surf doing stupid things. If it was a watertight hull like a stock superjet it...
Only thing I can criticize on is the lack of a normal airbox for water intrusion. Although I'm sure trying to buy oem or manufacture your own would far exceed whatever wholesale he's got on those filters. Cutting the hull for clearance sucks and I'm sure the filter won't last banging into it...
If you have a few days I've been working on a sbn38 version of my bolt on flame arrestors that might fit your hull without chopping. Total height of the airbox is 3.4".
I've made two sets for SE50's and they fit fine. The tops are the same nominal size to other aftermarket carbs. Keeping in mind I'm not producing new sets right now.
I haven't played with tpu yet, but I can believe it could be what I need to cover the range of adapter sizes out there. Moving to a captured hoseclamp would be nice so I don't need expensive m6 threaded inserts and the extra work invloved with that. I've had good success with the bolt on...
Although I've sold a dozen or so sets to people who wanted them, I'm seeing a larger variation in adapter diameters than I thought and has led to some cracking and failures of the bases. When the sizing is perfect they work great, but even a 0.25mm difference is enough to not make it work. I'm...
Something to think about if only speaking aesthetics. $25 gets you "carbon fiber" vinyl wrap and will get you 80% there for $325 less. I've wrapped my rrp tubes before so I didn't have to spend $150 on different color tubes.
weldwood sticks to literally anything that doesn't have an oily film and will hold, given enough surface area. You'll tear the foam pad before the glue lets loose.
