RRP steering instructions on RRP pole?

Hey all -- I have a universal rep steering system that's going on a RRP pole and the steering system came without any documentation on how it goes together. Can someone give me some inside as to how I put this thing together? I've looked at it numerous times and the placement of the holes and...

    Coupler Tools

Any reason you like the Kawi tool better other than it being cheaper? I've never used one.. Just the Yamaha one like you mentioned.

    Coupler Tools

I've heard you can break off ears of the coupler doing that about half the time. These are new billet ones and I don't want to risk it. I have one for Yamahas and it's nice when you do get one knowing you won't damage anything.

    Coupler Tools

Hey all -- There is a coupler tool sold by Watcon that is a flat piece of metal for $80. Then there is a Kawasaki tool that looks just like a coupler itself but has a 3/8" hole in the back for a wrench for $50. Has anyone used either of these tools? $80 seems pretty steep for a flat piece of...

    Proper pump alignment

Doesn't look like this will work for a SXR hull. Anyone know of a tool that helps with aligning a Kawasaki SXR? I can do it without but having a tool for the job always makes things easier.

Custom/Hybrid Aftermarket Hull Registration and HIN Talk

How many people have done this in California? Any issues that I should know about before I attempt to go register my Trinity ski? Any tricks I should know about before going?

    Proper pump alignment

Hey all -- I have a couple of questions about the alignment of the pump on the ski. I'm referring to the setup of a pump in a Trinity hull. Is there a better way to set these up? Or do you just bolt the pump up to the hull and just align the engine accordingly? I'm sure I can just throw...

Tips for replacing bearings and seals in bearing housing?

Great, thanks for the confirmation on that. Really appreciate the clarification.

Tips for replacing bearings and seals in bearing housing?

I saw the bearing and seal set but I'm wondering how what part of the seal do you want to come in contact with on the spring side when you have to push it into place from that side. I would think a socket that fits down into the bottom of the seal cavity so you don't push on any of the rubber...

Tips for replacing bearings and seals in bearing housing?

I've done wheel bearings before a number of times on trailers and would like to learn. If I ruin a seal I'll just buy another one. I think the lesson will be worth it in the long run.

Tips for replacing bearings and seals in bearing housing?

Thanks a lot for the tips! Some great info here! How do the seals get oriented in the housing? They have a side that has the lip with the spring around it. Do those always face inward? Or do they all face the engine? The reason in asking is that I don't know where to put the pressure on...

Tips for replacing bearings and seals in bearing housing?

Hey all -- I have a Kawasaki bearing housing that I'm going to be putting in my new SXR build I'm doing this winter. I have pounded out the old seals and bearing. I have new seals and a new bearing but I want to know if there are any tricks to getting these things in place without destroying...

1100 EBox Timing Advance or Retard?

Thanks for the replies. Just wanting to understand why Kawi did this. When the air temp goes up, it's better to advance timing or the other way around? With cold temps you want to advance the timing? Why is the beneficial to do in the first place? I mean, not the jumper thing, but I mean...

1100 EBox Timing Advance or Retard?

So I'm guessing that there must be two temp sensors? One for the engine and one for air temp?

1100 EBox Timing Advance or Retard?

Thanks for the reply. Can you give me some more info around why this works? There are a number of people that I think have this confused with an over-temp sensor. As that sensor gets hot, the resistance drops. If you short those two wires, I takes it as an overheat condition and retards the...

1100 EBox Timing Advance or Retard?

Hey all -- Getting some conflicting information and wanted to see if anyone knew exactly what I need to know. First I heard that crossing two wires in the 1100 ZXI EBox would ADVANCE the timing by 3*. Then I learned that these wires are for the temp sensor. When the temp sensor gets hot...

    Need advice on intake grate

Hey all -- We just bought an 07 SXR. It has the stock intake grate and ride plate on it. Going to get a TBM ride plate. This will be for riding buoys, carving, so we need it to stay planted in the water and get the best hookup in rough water conditions. What intake grate do you recommend...
