Any reason you like the Kawi tool better other than it being cheaper? I've never used one.. Just the Yamaha one like you mentioned.

I've heard you can break off ears of the coupler doing that about half the time. These are new billet ones and I don't want to risk it. I have one for Yamahas and it's nice when you do get one knowing you won't damage anything.
